What I'm Doing

A lot of things are happening at my Cassidy Hunter website!

First, Asylum, the sequel to Sanctuary, is now available from Loose Id. You can find it by clicking here. I've also just gotten the first review for Asylum, and you can read it here. It was reviewed by Elizabeth Silver, who is awesome, by the way.

Also, my short story 'sweet' romance, Puppy Love, is available for a limited time at Amazon for 99 cents!

I am in edits for Beyond the Shadows, a m/f erotic romance which will be coming to Loose Id soon. I'll post as soon as I have a release date.

I've submitted an erotic m/f titled First Night, and will post if it gets accepted.

My m/f erotic paranormal Strange Familiar is now available with Etopia Press. You can find it at the publisher website, or at ARe.

And finally, I have begun writing the third book in the Sanctuary series, which I've titled Serenity, as well as a YA called The Day and the Dark, and a few other works in process. :)

What I've Been Doing

Hi Everyone!

I've been so busy working on the Cassidy Hunter site that I've been neglecting this one.

To catch you up, I'm writing Sanctuary's sequel, Asylum. Strange Familiar has been sent in and I should get either an acceptance or a rejection for that one soon. I'll let you know as soon as I do.

I've also been neglecting Prisoner of Ghor so that I could write Asylum, but I'll pick it back up once I have time.

Sanctuary remains the number one bestseller at Loose Id, so far. Yay! I'm thrilled that it's doing so well.

I've also signed back up for school, so I'll be taking five classes this summer semester. Sigh. Why oh why did I take on so much? I haven't left myself much time to write! ;)

There is a captcha poll on my Cassidy Hunter site. Come vote!

Also, I've received reviews for Sanctuary from Night Owl Romance Reviews and Whipped Cream Reviews, among others, which I've posted on Cassidy's site. There are more reviews coming soon, as well as a couple of interviews.

I hope you'll visit often. :)

Sanctuary Review

Sanctuary received an amazing review from Authors By Authors owner Kiki Howell!

Authors By Authors Review of "Sanctuary" by Cassidy Hunter

I am so excited to get to review this story. I love this author who also writes under the name of Jane E. Jones.

So, let me begin at the beginning, because this has to be one of the best opening lines ever,

Kimberlyn’s guilt warred with her pleasure. It was difficult to be good when the need grew inside her like a sharp-edged mountain, until her fight was as ineffectual as a fist against an oak tree.

Need I say anything about her gift for description? Also, Ms. Hunter has this ability to glide flawlessly from hot, sizzling sex scenes to description that reads like poetry and back again.

And, if you want fantasy, well imagine yourself a female werewolf tied down and ravished by three men at once in the woods under the moon… And, again I am still just in the opening paragraphs here!

But, Ms. Hunter continues on. The imagery, the scorching sex scenes, the plot building, multiple conflicts…and ahhh…I had that war going on to rush to find out what happens and to take it slow to appreciate all of the details that get you there.

With every bit of passion, every moment of happiness the reader gets, it then gets swept up in the rising conflict until your eyes are reading furiously, your heart beating as if you too can feel the emotions of the wolves, as if as the reader I was linked to them – it is a magical reading experience.

The created intricacies of the pack are nothing short of genius in lending themselves to the storyline, the conflict, the emotions and eventually the resolution. And, for the ending…well, you will just have to read it to see. This book is an experience not to be missed.

Email

This was waiting for me in my inbox this morning, and made my day:

"...it is 12:53 (I have to get up at 5:30), and i just finished the last glorious words of Sanctuary. So tired, so happy! Wow, what an excellent book. I shall have to edit the raving review i gave it when I can think straight again! Thanks for a great read! Pure magic!"

And another email:

"...I thought it was an excellent read. It was full of emotion, suspense, sex (the final sex scene was by far my favourite). I loved the way you wrapped up the ending and I also loved that Kimberlyn had to be rescued after she'd healed Logan. It all just balanced out so well..."

Sanctuary

Kimberlyn is a were at odds with herself. She longs to express her true nature, but she's not sure what that is. What she knows is that she needs lovers who can satisfy her needs for rough sex and submission. What she doesn't know is that as the only Healer of her kind, she's incredibly valuable to the pack that can claim her.

Pack Alpha Logan and his partner Andrew need a third to solidify their pack and protect it from the Bears who want to take over. They know Kimberlyn's their girl from the moment they lay eyes on her. Now they just need to convince her they can fulfill her darkest desires. And to keep her away from the Bears.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, dubious consent, exhibitionism, ménage/moresome (m/f/m, m/f/m/m), same sex interaction (f/f), sex while in shifted form, voyeurism.

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th, everyone!

It's a bit cloudy and rainy here today. A good day to write:)

I'm nearing the ending of Sanctuary, and am anxious to finish it because I have two new story ideas that I'm really excited to write. I'll have to decide which one to start when Sanctuary is finished, and which one will have to wait. ;)

I used to write two or three or even four mss at once, but these days I force myself to finish one before I even think about starting another! And let me tell you, it's not easy.

Probably I'll start on the contemporary...or should I make it a western?

Anyway, off to finish up Sanctuary. :)
